Kristilyn Robertson is an amazing musician! She only has one CD out, but with that and seeing her live, it really is an experience!

Courtney Love?

I know that most people think that she is not a feminist because of how she behaves, but her music, espeacially a bunch of stuff from when she was with Hole, has a strong feminist tone.

How about posting a little Michelle Albano.

In case you are not familiar with Michelle Albano- Michelle is a talented NYC singer songwriter with a gift for writing catchy pop, rock and soul tunes that will work there way into your head and stay for days. Michelles songs range from soulful , emotive rock tunes to melodic and well crafted piano based pop.

you can visit www.michellealbano.com to listen to cuts of her debut album.

I think there should be some mention of Frances Mai-Ling if there hasn't already. She's quite a talent and has a lovely little following.

i recommend metric too. their song combat baby is incredibly catchy.

another awesome band featuring female vocals is the dresden dolls [http://www.dresdendolls.com/], although they don't exactly fit into the category of rock. more like cabaret since they have a definite musical theatre aspect going on.

Fiona Apple's new album "Extraordinary Machine" has been shelved by SONY because they say it doesn't have a single. Fionahaswings.com along with Yahoo! Group LOVE RIDDEN have come together to unite Fiona fans to help get her record released. If you are a fan of Fiona Apple or just a music fan who hates being told what you should listen to by corporate giants visit www.fionahaswings.com for information on helping the cause.

I'd definitely be interested, that is, if Allie is looking for more authors in the first place, heh.

Well I never took a great interest in those bands and I don't know a lot about metal... I'm not sure about Kristy or Allie, but maybe you'd like to feature them? That is, if perhaps Allie's looking for more authors, I'm not sure. I probably shouldn't suggest anything since this isn't my blog. Just something I thought of, I guess.

Since this is a women's rock music blog, I'm surprised you have completely ignored all the Scandinavian B&B metal artists like Tristania, After Forever, Within Temptation, Theatre of Tragedy, Sins of thy Beloved, Dargaard, Die Verbannten Kinder Evas, etc... Check em' out, they need publicity a helluva lot more than a lot of the stuff you have on here, and absolutely deserve it.

Darling Violetta. Since I was a fan of Angel: the Series I loved listening to the opening theme song for the show ever week. They make cello cool!
